California Is Burning is a 2020 Campaign Ad for Angelica Duenas, who ran on a Progressive platform as a Democrat in Califronia's 29th Congressional District. The collaboration is a result of Major Malfunction following Duenas through her candicacy with the direction of Jean Balest and writing and editing of Ted Marsden. The ad made its debut during a Sunrise Movement LA fundraiser during which actor Joaquin Phoenix introduced the ad following his endorsement of Duenas.
